Always know how valuable and uniquely beautiful you are!
This confidence is not something that happens overnight. I have been working on it for a long time. I use to be that girl that was so uncomfortable with showing skin, expressing myself because I thought someone would make fun of me. I would be that girl that always sat in the back of the class with my head down. But as I started my YouTube channel I started developing my self-confidence. As I was talking to myself in front of the camera I began to fall in love with my flaws and started listening to my own voice and not the voice of others. Love who you are, embrace who you are. When you love yourself, people can kind of pick up on that. They can see confidence, they can see self-esteem and gravitate towards you.
Often times people think that confidence is something you either have or you don’t. But confidence isn’t something you’re born with; it’s something you build through wisdom and experience. Confidence is what happens when your negative self-perception is overcome by your achievements. For some, this comes easily. For others, we struggle with understanding how to gain self-confidence. So here are a few tips that helped me gain my self-confidence and continues to help me when I’m feeling low.
Care for yourself
Take a shower, take a bubble bath, comb your hair, get a new hair do, get your nails done and so on. Doing these things will have you feeling like a brand new person.
Dress to slay
You don’t have to dress up every day but if you have an outfit in your closet that you’re self conscious about wearing, girl put it on and show out. Dressing differently than you normally would will give you that confidence boost. Sometimes we have to get uncomfortable to be comfortable.

Speak about yourself in a positive light. Don’t let the negative thoughts that you have about yourself or that people want to say about you get to you. Tell yourself everyday that you are beautiful, that you are great and will do great things. Say it out loud and have notes around your place.
Everything and Everyone is not for you
If you have people in your circle that are always speaking negatively about what you want in your own life to make you feel good, set them free. You don’t need that negativity around you when trying to build up your own confidence.

Helping other people will give you a sense of validation. It enables us to forgot about our problems and feel good making a difference in someone else’s life. The simplest thing like complimenting someone else can brighten up your own day.
Go for a walk, take a group class at your local gym. Be active at least three times a week.

You might say why should I smile but when people see you smile it invites them to approach you. Smiling is like comfort food, it soothes you and others around you and makes it contagious.
