Hey Y’all Hey! Kijan ou Ye! How are you doing?
Discipline will take you places motivation can’t!

Discipline is defined as the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience.
Another definition is…a branch of knowledge, typically one studied in higher education.
And the last one is…train (someone) to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience
Discipline is a form of a noun and a verb while motivation is a form of noun.

Motivation is defined as the reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way. As well as the general desire or willingness of someone to do something.
That being said, motivation is a feeling but discipline is doing what must be done.
I can be motivated to let’s use my weight loss journey as an example. I can be motivated to lose weight but if I don’t have the discipline to actually cut out the sweets and stick to a workout regimen, then I won’t lose the weight.
In all honesty, you will always find time to do what you value. If you value to lose weight then you will exercise discipline to achieve that goal.

Therefore the answer to becoming discipline is to be honest about what you value.
For the past few months, I’ve been motivated to start up my YouTube channel again but I was discouraged and didn’t want to start from scratch. I made excuses after excuses and then something clicked inside of me where I just stopped with the excuses and started the new channel. I decided that I will not let my fear limit me and to become disciplined in what I want.
With discipline comes consistency. Consistency is key in being able to show up for yourself because no one can show up for you like YOU! Don’t let your fear of visibility limit you from achieving your goals.

Discipline will take you places motivation can’t!
Be disciplined in your goals and you will see a difference.

Until the next post…

Hi Windy!
Great distinction between the two! And absolutely stunning photos.
I needed to read this post today. Lately, I’ve been so motivated to write blog posts and work on my pinterest account but i couldn’t figure out why I wouldn’t put in the work to get the job done. I’ll keep in mind the tip you said about valuing and consistency. Thank you for sharing xxx
Love this post, such a great, positive message. You look great in that outfit too btw!
I completely agree. There have been times when I’ve been motivated to do things but not disciplined enough to go through. Both go hand in hand but one is more effective than the other.
Loving your vibe, loving the pics. I have to admit I lived with strong “discipline” (practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience) for 40 years. I can see it may work for some, but for me, and my background I seemed to have a whole lot of discipline with little reward;) I decided to throw it away and try a new method – going with the flow. I’ve been doing that for six years now. So far I’m sticking with it. I agree that you will always find time to do what you value. So, instead of focusing on discipline as much, I focus on making what I want to achieve pleasurable. My life has been enriched. I’m also very much of the belief that every person finds the way that works for them. And I am glad you’ve found what works for you. Look forward to seeing more of you on YouTube too!
I total agree. Discipline is everything.
I think you are absolutely right! Determination will take you are a lot further because sometimes we are just unmotivated to do things we need to do! Go ahead and start that YouTube channel. I’m a small youtuber and know how hard it can be. Maybe we should follow each other. My name is Where in the Heard is Tiffany
I completely agree that “you will find time to do what you value”. I definitely have not been valuing exercise during this down time. I want to change that.
Wow. This is just what I need right now. I have been struggling on the side of discipline but I hope to keep at it until it becomes a habit. Thanks for the insight
