Hey Y’all Hey! Kijan ou Ye! How are you doing?
Am I the only one that deals with imposter syndrome???
When you say imposter syndrome, I define it as feelings of inadequacy that continues to take over my mind despite there being evident of success. Imposter syndrome is suffering from self-doubt and a sense of being a fraud.

Here are some of the feelings you may experience:
Self-doubt
Fear that you don’t belong
Continuing to self-sabotage
Refusal to praise your own work
There are times when I feel extremely insecure and unsure of myself. I nick pick every piece of work trying to make it better, end up hating it, finally I tell myself STOP!

I have become my own worst critic because of imposter syndrome.
I realize that it’s okay to start at the bottom and work my way up. If I only put out my “best” work, how am I helping or inspiring others around if they never see me work from the bottom up?! I have to remind myself to stop comparing my chapter 5 to someone’s chapter 50. We all started somewhere and it’s okay to show that. People love to see the process and the progress.
Trials aren’t meant to bash us, but to build us.
Countless of times I will over edit a picture because I don’t think it’s “pretty enough” only to go back to that same picture weeks, sometimes months later and post the unedited version and receive so much love on it. When that happens, I tell myself you feared the worst and no one saw the flaws but you!
It’s okay to do things scared but DO NOT let fear control you and stop you from doing what you want to do. IMPOSTER SYNDROME will let that fear take over but DO IT ANYWAY because your content matters to someone.
Let your life be your voice
Imposter syndrome will have you questioning your place in the spaces that you prayed about being in. Just know that it’s a lie! You are capable! You belong and are allowed to learn as you go.

Here 5 things to tell yourself every day to get over imposter syndrome
1. What God Has for ME Is for ME
Stop comparing yourself to others! Be happy about someone else’s blessing and prepare for God to bless you with your own blessings.
2. I Am Worthy
You are unique! You have to release the hurt and self doubt to heal.
3. I Will Be Successful
Choose growth and sit with the discomfort of success. Celebrate all your accomplishments, even the small ones.
4. I Am Fearful
Your fears are ruining your life! Seriously! Don’t allow fear to rule your life. Reminder that you are the SH*T.
5. My Journey is NOT your journey
Focus on your own vision, your own purpose, your health. You dance to the beat of your own drum.

A quick reminder that self-love is defined as regard for one’s own well-being and happiness. You deserve greatness in your life. Be positive and believe in yourself and go knock down those walls you’ve built to keep you out. Keep attracting everything that is for your highest good, new opportunities, new energy, new mindset, and new connections.
Self-love is the key to happiness.

Here are a few daily affirmations to keep you motivated
You give yourself permission to go after the lifestyle you desire for yourself
If you believe in yourself anything is possible
You are amazing because you are destined to do great things
You were amazing then and you are amazing now
You are important
I will do my best
I am grateful
I am beautiful
I am loved
I am enough

Reminder – Feeling like a fraud and being a fraud are two different things.

Love your affirmations! Yes we all may have some phases of self doubt and feeling low but I agree that DO NOT let fear control you and stop you from doing what you want to do. Love faith over fear!
Yes! we all go through these phases and have to remember faith over fear always.
Yes!! This post is everything!! I related to so many things you Sid. I’m working on me though, and trying to get over my self doubt, a little each day.
You got this! I just went through this myself with doubting my abilities and value.
Interesting blog post and topic! Imposter syndrome is something that can hinder progress if the person doesn’t leave it behind and work on achieving their goals.
Great post. i go through this even this day. thanks for sharing those affirmations too
I really needed to reminded of this today, sometimes it is hard to put yourself first when so many others are truly suffering around you and it is easy to lose the sparkle even while you are doing good.
I really enjoyed reading this post. This has given me more reassurance to keep going and to rise to the top. Thanks for sharing this post.
