Vision For A New Year

My vision for a new year

Hey Y’all Hey!

Kijan Ou Ye! How You Doing?

What is a vision board?

A vision board is a visual representation of your goals. Most people create a vision board yearly or quarterly to meet their goals. It is a collage of images and words that are important to achieving your goals and reminding you on a daily basis of your WHY. It should be filled with things to inspire and motivate you to stay disciplined.

When thinking of what to add to your vision board, you should answer the following questions:

  • What is my WHY?
  • What brings me joy?
  • What are my long and short term goals?
  • What are my strengths?
  • What do I like to for fun?
  • What is something new I want to try?
  • Am I happy where I am in life?
  • What am I passionate about?
  • What am I thankful for?

The first time I created a vision board was back in 2019 and I was able to create a physical one and hang it up in my bedroom. A lot of people ask, does creating a vision board work? In my opinion, it does. Writing down your goals so that you can visualize them on a daily basis is key to putting in the work to see your vision come to life.

A vision board will only work if and when you do the work.

Oh and please let’s not add unrealistic goals that we know we cannot meet and then beat ourselves up for not meeting them!

How to create a digital vision board

For 2021, I wanted to create a vision board that I could refer to on the go. So I decided to create a digital vision board using Canva. Creating a vision board on Canva is super easy.

I decided to choose a design from the Mood Boards Photo Collage

Find pictures for your vision board. Since I have Canva pro, I just used their photo library. However, you definitely can get images and quotes from Pinterest and Google images.

Arrange the pictures however you want!

Once you have your board with all your visuals, save and keep it as your wallpaper on your phone. You can also print several copies to mount wherever you want so that you can continually reference back to it and adjust it when necessary.

Here is a sample of my Vision for a New Year!

When you put your attention on something, you experience more of it!

Although its digital do you ever print/ hang your digital vision boards?
